Blue Deeper Than Indigo

BLUE DEEPER THAN INDIGO
With the first beep of the alarm he pulled off the bed sheet. Without any ado he got out of the bed even before the break of the dawn. He had to start his day early today. He was resolute in his will not to get back to the bed. Time transit had played its role in making him firmer in everything.
He was used to the solitariness in his house….
He was habitual now. Habitual to the reclusion to be precise.
He peeped out of the window. It was snowing outside. Snow in the darkness of the dawning was the nature’s manifestation of the equanimity .He took a deep breath and walked to the kitchen. There was a mélange of thoughts in his mind as the tea boiled. He was thinking a lot.
With the piping hot tea in his cup he moved to the couch in the living room. He murmured to his living buddy in the house – the bamboo shoot. They shared the togetherness for 10 years now. A bond of the ‘ Silent ’ – speaker and a mute listener who would conceal all his secrets.
Today also he looked at his younger buddy and he listened with the quietude!
He sipped his tea very slowly. He was in no rush now….
With no heat turned on his hands felt numb. He curled up his teacup in his hands to warm them up.
He was pacing up to start his routine day.
His buddy silently gazed at him from the corner wishing happiness for him.
